The Atlantic system had only recently been dismantled in parts of the Western world; Brazil would abolish slavery in 1888. European empires were expanding across Africa and the Middle East. Vzpomínané pokoje, cítěné květy: Sergej Iščuk a přetrvávání intimního interiéru Když stojíme před obrazy Sergeje Iščuka, máme neodbytný pocit, že vstupujeme do prostor, které nás již znají. Nejde o interiéry, s nimiž bychom se setkávali poprvé, ani o květiny právě pozorované; jsou to spíše místa a věci, které byly žity, obývány, pomalu se usazovaly v sedimentu domácího času.
